Korea-Brunei Communications Cooperation meeting

Kyung-Ja LEE, Standing commissioner of Korea Communications Commission, received Dato Paduka Haji Yusoff Haji Abd Hamid, the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Communications of Brunei and held a cooperation meeting in attendance with experts from industry and government on March 17.
This meeting started with the presentation of KCC regarding Korean radio management policies, frequency withdrawal & reassignment policies and the status quo of cyber security management. After that, there were Q&A and discussion session for two hours.
Dr. Lee and Dato Yusoff Hamid reached an agreement to strengthen cooperation in communications field such as radio management and a personal exchange of cyber security experts to increase mutual understanding based on the result of the meeting.
KCC explained that this meeting would bring a positive effect on advance of Korean mobile Wimax(Worldwide Inter-operability for Microwave Access) technology to Brunei.
