Broadcasting contents bureau (Leader Jeong-Seon Seol), which takes full charge of communications contents’ task force, started its action on 17th February. The bureau is going to decide a comprehensive plan for developing broadcasting contents’ in the first half of the year as setting up the new way of developing convergence communications contents and systematizing the existing developing plan of broadcasting contents. KCC(Korea Communications Commission) announced on 17th that they would found communication-convergence contents team to improve regulations and promotion-program for communications contents industry which has not been systematically dealt with. Add up to this, they reallocated general contents policy team and broadcasting contents team which Jong-Ki Jeong, the newly posted chief of convergence policy bureau, is in charge of. The background of current expedition from KCC in the field of communications contents is to vitalize the communications industry namely IPTV and building information superhighway. KCC explained that in terms of broadcasting contents industry, it not only covers the actual contents buying and selling but also the technology which is to deliver the contents and value-added economical benefits. Considering this, production, distribution and technology convergence should be organically combined and systematical managed. |
